Frequently Asked Questions

Shadow, wind, environmental analysis, statistics, coloring, and visibility tools can be accessed from the 3D Analyses menu on the 3D map.
Select a date and time under 3D Analyses / Shadow Analysis to display the shadows cast by buildings on the map.
Use 3D Analyses / Night Mode to display the map scene in a nighttime view.
Wind direction and speed can be visualized on the 3D map under 3D Analyses / Wind Analysis.
Manual mode in Wind Analysis lets users define the wind direction, speed, and visualization values.
Meteorological information can be viewed under 3D Analyses / Environmental Analysis, and environmental effects such as rain can be displayed in the 3D scene.
The 3D Analyses / Statistics screen provides summaries including the number of buildings, floor information, number of independent units, and object types.
Under 3D Analyses / 3D Coloring, buildings can be colored according to data fields such as floor count, height, and object type.
Use the Add Texture tool to select a roof, facade, window, or door surface and apply the desired texture to the 3D building.
Use area selection on the Add Texture screen to select multiple buildings and apply textures in bulk.
Choose objects from the model library in the Street Furniture tool and place them at the desired location on the 3D map.
Select a dataset and capture route in the Panoramic Imagery tool to examine 360-degree panoramic images.
Set an observation point and analysis parameters under 3D Analyses / Visibility Analysis to calculate visibility over the terrain model.
When the analysis is complete, visible and non-visible areas are shown in different colors on the 3D map.
Tools on the 2D map that support 3D use can also be accessed from the 3D map interface and used within the same workflow.
